Active Re Strengthens Regional Ties in Argentina Through Participation in Key Reinsurance Industry Events
PRESS RELEASE
Buenos Aires, Argentina, May 2025 – In May, Buenos Aires hosted two prominent events in the reinsurance calendar, and Active Re was actively engaged. Reinforcing its commitment to building strong regional partnerships and contributing to high-level industry dialogue, the company participated in both the XXXVI General Assembly of the Panamerican Surety Association (PASA) and 4ta. Jornada Del Reaseguro Argentino y Latinoamericano, held in the Argentine capital.
From May 4 to 7, Erik Feigelson, Head of Global Credit & Surety Underwriting, represented Active Re at the PASA General Assembly, a leading international gathering that convenes surety and credit insurance leaders from over 35 countries. The event, which combines conferences, technical sessions, and networking opportunities, has become a key platform for market insight, trend analysis, and the strengthening of relationships with insurers, reinsurers, and underwriters worldwide.

On May 13, Active Re further extended its regional engagement by joining 4ta. Jornada Del Reaseguro Argentino y Latinoamericano, hosted by Mercado Asegurador magazine. Held under the theme “There is no insurance without reinsurance,” the conference brought together regulators, insurance and reinsurance carriers, brokers, and industry experts to discuss the challenges and strategic outlook of the regional market. Active Re’s delegation, Daniel Dagnino (Senior Underwriting), Miguel Córdoba (Pricing & Modeling Actuary and Underwriting), and Carla Chiara (Delegated Underwriter Authorities Coordinator), contributed to key technical and commercial exchanges throughout the event.

“We are committed to leveraging our global expertise and resources to assist in navigating these challenging times and fostering a resilient insurance market in Argentina,” said Esteban Madero, Chief Commercial Officer of Active Re. “This has involved strengthening relationships with local partners, identifying opportunities, and closely following the market’s evolution with a collaborative and hands-on approach. Events like this allow us to consolidate that effort, gain a deeper understanding of the sector’s needs, and move forward with sustainable, tailor-made solutions.“
Participation in these events enabled Active Re not only to share insights with industry peers, but also to identify new areas for collaboration and respond more proactively to the dynamic challenges of the Latin American reinsurance market.
